Is Blood of Heroes anamorphic?

Anyone know if today's release of Blood of Heroes is going to be 16x9? I haven't been able to find anything on line, and it looks like Best Buy won't have it in store (on-line only).

Anytime.

I've never seen it widescreen either. The laserdisc was apparently full frame also. I always thought it was straight to video, so maybe it was shot full frame orginally.

Anyone know if Blood of Heroes was released theatrically?

Yes it was, I saw it in the theatre during it's original release.

...buyer beware: BLOOD OF HEROES (approx. 90 minutes) is the title of the US release...

...the original title for this movie is SALUTE OF THE JUGGER - it runs approx. 104 minutes and features a different, less 'upbeat' ending than the US version...

. . . . . .

Hmmmm, I can't seem to find that on dvd. Amazon uk has it on vhs but nowhere else has it at all. Guess I'll settle for the US release unless you have other info.

There's no alternate version info at IMDB. Do you have any idea what was cut/changed, other than the ending?

The americanized version is all I've ever seen, in 4:3 no less. As much as I would love to see it uncut and widescreen, I will probably end up picking this one up.

I've been waiting for this movie for a while. Kind of disappointed that it's not widescreen; I would like to see the Australian version.

However, DeepdiscountDVD has it for $6.83. I can't really complain about a price like that.
