Next Walt Disney Treasures 12/2/2003
Per Davis DVD:
The next wave of Walt Disney Treasures is due on December 2nd. The limited edition 2-disc sets, packaged in their distinctive numbered metal tins, this time will include The Chronological Donald, The War Years, and Mickey Mouse in Living Color 2. A fourth title, Disney in Outer Space, was rumored to be part of this third wave, but in all likelihood will be bumped into 2004. Check back for more information on this as it develops.

The Chronological Donald - Celebrating the career of the most prolific of Walt's classic characters, this high-spirited collection presents all of Donald Duck's starring shorts from "Donald and Pluto" in 1936 to "Chef Donald" in 1941 (36 shorts).
Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume Two - Celebrating Mickey Mouse's career in film, this volume covers Mickey's films from 1939 to 1995 including some of his most loved performances in "Society Dog Show", "Tugboat Mickey", "Mickey and the Seal", "Pluto's Party" and many more (21 shorts).
Walt Disney on the Front Lines - During World War II the Disney Studios lent its talents to the patriotic cause of winning the war. This fascinating collection showcases the training, propaganda and educational films, as well as hundreds of insignia designs, which the Studio delivered to the war effort (32 shorts).
Walt Disney's Tomorrowland - Walt Disney's vision of space exploration comes alive in this compilation of "Disneyland" TV shows about outer space and the opportunities and challenges of space travel (6 programs).
I'll be getting the first 3 for sure.

So do we know how many of each will be pressed? WIll it be the same as this last round, or the amount of the first round? I'm pretty jacked about all of them, although I don't know how likely I'll be to get "Tomorrowland" regardless of when it is released.
Also, I agree about the non-censored stuff. I'll probably get it regardless b/c WWII is such an amazing time in history. Donald Duck is great, so those should be interesting as well. And, as a completist, I'll have to get the Mickey set as well.
THanks for the info!

Are these Animated Shorts? I'm only asking because I only collect the Animated Walt Disney Treasures & i'm not sure if this set is animated.

So like these aren't even his best ones are they? The Chip and Dale ones and so on. Hell, is Applecore in this bunch?

I'll definately be getting Walt Disney on the Front Lines and possibly The Chronological Donald. Walt Disney's Tomorrowland seems really interesting and I look forward to renting that one.
