So, I didn't get back to the forum before I left, but this is essentially the list I went to...

The Flaming Lips took the stage for White Stripes, so all the characters were in Red shirts and he had a red cape. It started with him singing White Stripe songs...probably one of the best covers I've ever heard. He used a bull horn to really get a good effect. They blew up about 40 big balloon type things and would thrown them out to the audience. They danced on the stage and really got a lot of good participation from the audience.

Ladytron was another set that really stole the heart from the audience. It was the sort of thing were the interest was low but pretty soon 70000 people were trying to get into the tent where they were playing. They were quite incredible.

I left after the Polyphonic Spree who really proved to Ireland that they are much more than just a gimic band. They were able to top the amount of fun I had at the Flaming Lips show.

The Warlocks were wonderful. I typically stayed in the tents for two or three songs before going to another tent. The main stage stuff I'd usually stay the entire set. Warlocks were in a tent but I ended up staying through their entire set.

A few other notes. I did see Har Mar Superstar who is about 15x better than Jack Black could ever dream, yet about the same sort of gig. As I was walking out of the festival I heard David Gray crooning. He sounded like trash. Cardigans were actually pretty good. Snowpatrol was cool. The Frames were horrible (I thought). Irish fans are much more polite, overall, at these shows than I've experienced at Festivals in America.
