Matrix Reloaded question (spoilers)
I just saw this movie last night at the drive-in, during a thunderstorm. So I might have missed something, but who was the guy with a goatee at the very end of the film? The guy on the table behind Neo?

The 'traitor' due to Smith being able to control him. Smith is able to get inside a sleeper and turn them to his bidding.

Ah, OK. I think that I will need to rewatch the original Matrix, and this movie, prior to watching the third installment.

When you are talking about Colonel Sanders, is that the character who was taken over by Agent Smith?

And yes, when I saw him in the movie, I kept expecting him to pull out a bucket of fried chicken.

In the beginning of the movie, a guy named Bane is taken over by agent smith in The Matrix before answering the phone call. Agent Smith therefore ends up taking over the person in the "real" world. He's the one that set off the EMP's early and caused the massacre of the ships preparing an attack, and ends up in the coma next to Neo. The other person, the Architect, is someone entirely different.

He is the designer of The Matrix. 'God' of Matrix, if you want to see it that way.

Your original question was talking about Bane. Some of the people here are talking about the Architect (who bears a striking resemblance to Col. Sanders ).
