Hey, if it's NTSC and on par with the price of the r2/r4, then I'd definitely get it.

Mention of what DVD online? The R3 version?
There aren't many reviews of DVD's from Korea or Thailand that I've found. That's all i purchase and try to check them out before I do so but no one ever really lists reviews.
I get all my information from people on these boards.
There's a lot of info on R2 and R4 tho. It's your choice. There are pro's and con's to each choice.

But not just reviews - NOTHING. I don't even see this being hawked on eBay - it's odd. Lots of places mentioned, or sold, the r3 Army Of Darkness and the foreign editions of Hero - you can easily find information or a place to find THEM online, but why is there no mention of Robocop, since the R3 is superior? Do ANY Asian marketers carry it? Do any of them MENTION it?

I don't remember where I saw it. *I* have never seen any of the other R3 DVD's on Ebay that I've bought. They're not the easiest things to come by. The ones that I've tried to find...i had to set the preferences to "seller from Korea" in order to find R3 ones. And also, a lot of them aren't even in english (the ads). There are reasons.
LOL...you make it sound like i'm lying about this disc. Do i need to scan the cover and take pictures? Because I can. It's not a bootleg. It's legit.

There's your link.
Don't say "nothing" until you've actually checked. It took all of 2 minutes.

I didn't mean to anger anyone. I was googling, yahooing and reading myriad sites - far too many in characters - for an hour and a half.
Never said you were lying about the disc, Digi. I respect you too much for that. I thought it was ofdd, that's all - that you may even have gotten an advance copy, or something.
Coolness to the two of you, though. My credit card hasn't been punished enough this week!

Let's keep this on-topic. Splitting off material is labour intensive!

Ok, answered my own question:
- Audio Commentary by Director Paul Verhoeven, Writer Ed Neumeier and Executive Producer Jon Davison:
- Making of "Flesh and Steel" : "Flesh and Steel"
- Original 1987 Featurette "Shooting Robocop":
- Original 1987 Featurette "Making Robocop":
- Storyboard Comparison : The Boardroom:
- Deleted Scenes :
- Trailers to All Robocop Films :
- TV Spot : TV
- Photo Gallery :
I wonder if the commentary will be the same as the Criterion one.

It's a different commentary than the Criterion. Another difference (when compared to the criterion) is that it's 1.85 (the theatrical AR) not 1.66 as Verhoevan has since decided is his preference. BUT, neither the criterion nor R1 MGM are anamorphic OR 5.1 where the R3 is both.

The MGM is anamorphic and 5.1. At least thats what my case says. I didn't fire up the system to double check.
The real question is if they are all the uncut version like the Criterion.

What about this Japanese R2 version from Amazon.co.jp ?
Looks like it's also NTSC, has English subs, and only costs 1,990 yen. (shipping is high though)
Even though the title says SE, does this have the Director's cut and other special features? (Confirm that this is put out by Fox Home Ent and not MGM?)
