I'm pretty sure that Peter Staddon at Fox said once during an online chat that he would like to get this series released.
However, no dates (rumoured, or otherwise) were ever mentioned to my knowledge.

Certainly not until all the X-Files seasons have been released and i believe there are still seasons 8 & 9 to get through so i'd be suprised in all honesty if we saw this happening before 2004.
