Fallen "Idol" (Sideshow Bob)

Can't believe no one is talking about the "soft" album debut for American Idol's Justin. Entered the chartes at number #20. And this week? #51.

Good

perhaps there's a feeling of vindication after having to put up with hype upon hype?

or perhaps he really doesn't have fans who care what he does or if he has a career [unlike Jewel, Liz Phair & Metallica fans]...

but, c'mon, did anyone really expect this to sell..?

You dirty perv, !

In all seriousness, I think this really all started with The Real Cancun. Media companies saw these reality shows that were bringing in great ratings and thought that they could translate these shows into other entertainment avenues and make big bucks for a low cost. It seems they forgot one thing, TV is free. No one (with a brain) wants to pay for reality programming. Why should I? I get reality for free all the time. Fortunately, they have screwed the pooch on this one, and it is only a matter of time until reality shows are gone.
