I liked it. I would give it a B.
It is slow paced for most of the movie. Mostly a drama but if you are looking for all-out action then look elseware.
I does have one of the best action endings though.
I found that it has the feel of Zotoichi except a not as funny and darker.
I would say if you don't mind slow paced movies and you can get it for a good price then go for it.
I hope this helps a little but as you can see my review skill are not very good.

I have it on the way to me, as I read a review in the UK action cinema magazine IMPACT and basically they raved over it, and from what I read and saw bought the film instantly, I cannot wait to get hold of it. I bought the Hong Kong dvd its cheap as chips. $10 I think.

I have watched the R2 Artsmagic version. Excellent movie, the DVD is not bad, better than most other Artsmagic DVDs. It's also anamorphic. Pick this up if you get a chance.
Or you can rent it at www.nicheflix.com, a new multi-region on-line DVD rental site, that's how I saw it.
