Is EB good on returns?

I bought Brute Force and they convinced me to get it used with a gamer card and whatever so it only cost 30$ compared to 45$ new.

Anyways, I looked at the cd and its in good shape so I didnt look at the rest, but here I looked at the case and its totally wasted! Even though this is a new release from what, last week, the box looks like its from a 3-4 year old game. The back paper is all massacred, its dirty as hell and there is nothing but cd and case (I'm assuming there is a manual).

Will they let me bring it back for exchange or am I stuck with this?

(Conversly, I bought Baldur's Gate which although its much older looks brand new, the manual has never even been opened)

I had to take one used game back to EB because the disc wouldn't load, and they just let me swap it with another one. I don't see why they wouldn't do it for packaging reasons.

When I worked at EB, when people brought back defective preowns they would swap the disc. If there were no more copies of that game preowned, they would give a brand new disc and return the preowned as new defective.

dgmayor, this aint the disc, its the packaging which I didn't look at. People of course think to look at the disc, you dont expect the packaging to have serves as a coaster, a dinner plate and from the look of the paper, to do friction and heat up something.

And in Canada (I say this around 5 times a day now... we do not have any CC or BB. To clarify, I paid 44$ used with lowest new price 65$.

I'd definitely take it back. Odds are they'll exchange it.

I've taken two games back to EB (and traded in a broken Dreamcast there), they'll take anything with no problem!

Gonna go Wednesday (closed tommorow), thanks! Wasnt sure they'd look at me funny and laugh. (Incidently, I might trade it for Halo which was the same price, I can hardly see in the dark when playing)

Are you talking about on the TV? Try messing with the brightness controls. Some TV's have a setting for video games that makes it brighter.

Yea, I have a different TV setting for when I am watching TV and playing games. I set the TV one myself with a calibration DVD, but use the original settings for games.
