What are they waiting for to release "Master of the World"d

Great stars and written by Jules Verne
starring Vincent Price as Robur the conqueror.

Movie in color features Chares Bronson as Mr. Struck, Henry Hull and other great stars.

I think it would look great as anamorhic wide screen movie.

Your opinion?

FLIX is the only station that plays this movie, on a somewhat regular basis.

I'd love to see this on DVD!

Didn't MGM release this on VHS as part of a midnite madness series?

MGM does have it out as part of the Midnite Movies line. And some years before that, there were actually two earlier versions released on VHS - one a cheap EP copy, and the other a more expensive SP version. Same packaging, though of course it was a lot easier to find the cheap EP version in stores.

Fortunately, they also released it in widescreen on laserdisc. After passing it up for a long time, I finally bought it (years ago), and certainly don't regret it. But yes, I'd very much welcome it on DVD.

Well, I would certainly pick it up, but as a big Verne fan, I can't complain too much as this year has already seen the release of nice-looking prints of 20,000 Leagues, Mysterious Island and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Master of the World is fun, but I wouldn't put it up there with those other three.
