La Mentale (S.Naceri (Taxi)/S.Le Bihan (Brotherhood of the wolf) Dutch version
Some more good news today I assume....
After being released in France without English subs (...mostly to my disappointment of course...) LA MENTALE starring Samuel LeBihan (Brotherhood of the Wolf) and Samy Nacery (Taxi/ Taxi2) ....LA MENTALE is now offered in Holland on a superb disc boasting the original French DTS track and at last English subs.
The DTS track is rather impressive- DTS 5.1 (1509 kbps) according to DVDINFO.BE. Full review here (in Dutch):
http://www.dvdinfo.be/bespreking.cfm?reviewnr=963
Furthermore the disc is also THX certified!
For those willing to obtain the film DVDZONE2.com appears to be the best choice:

For French Speakers ONLY!
Info regarding the film and the French disc only could be found here:

Did you actually own the french version? From the dvdrama site,
the screen captures show it does have eng subs.

So does the dvdzone2 link:
SOUS-TITRES Anglais - Français Malentendants
I believe pro-basoonist's "For French Speakers ONLY" quote means that the DVDrama info is in French only, not that the disc is in French only with no subs.

eXcentris is absolutely right... however....there are a few points that need to be cleared out.
First of all up until last week nearly every single French etailer was claiming that the disc (French version) did not have subs. In fact they still are:
http://www.dvdfr.com/dvd/dvd.php?id=7556
http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASI...351780-4168143
http://www.cinestore.com/html/fiche_...s.php?id=18080
http://www.fnac.com/Shelf/article.as...n=2&Ra=-3&To=0
and so on.....there are a dozen other sites that simply have the same specs- NO SUBS!!
which led me to believe that when the Dutch version came out (or so I thought....) the "new" version was with subs. I did email a friend of mine that works in Holland and in fact they still dont know why there was so much confusion....and why no one ever mentioned anything about English subs. I also assumed that perhaps the Benelux got a disc with added English subs (as for example was the case with Un ange and Nid de Guepes...though both of them got Dutch subs..not English). So this should clear it out......It looks like the French version does have subs....or at least the "French" disc that DVDZONE2.com sells.
Until I see the back cover on amazon.fr or cinestore.com indicating that the dvd does have subs....I would rather order from the Benelux.
Also for the record: NO...i did not get the French disc....because I DID NOT think that it was worth it to spend that much for a film that lacks English subs.
