Sony DVP-NS755V or not?

So my Sony DVP NS400D and my JVC XV-S45 have both died within weeks of each other. I'm looking to pick up a new player and am wondering what people think of the Sony DVP-NS755V... it seems to be number one in my search so far.

If anyone has any other suggestions beyond that please feel free to interject those as well. I'm looking to spend around $250 - $300 or so on a good player. It doesn't need to be multi-disc (preferably not) but I want to be able to hook it up to a decent HDTV home theater in the future.

Panny XP30 or XP50 (DVD-A) while you may still be able to find them. Top quality picture (ahhh the Faroujda).
