Apex PD650 Portable DVD player...

I did a search but didn't find anything. Circuit City has this on sale this week for $250.00. It's only a 6.5" screen but it's widescreen and has progressive scan output. I tried searching for reviews on the net to no avail.

Was wondering/hoping someone here had experience or comments. Given the price and features it doesn't look too bad to me.

Lastly, any comments on Apex products in general ??

Thanks.

Saw it today in Circuit City. It looks like crap, I'm afraid -- very smeary, undetailed picture. Build seems very flimsy as well. Spend the money for a Toshiba or SOMETHING else.

You're right. I saw it as well and was not impressed at all...

Best Buy's been advertising a 7" 16x9 screen portable for $300 lately. I forget the brand, but I'm betting it's better than the Apex.
