System Shock 2-major bug when installing??

I have the original game. I had heard that there was a major bug in that if you installed without defragging the hard drive, or something like that, then it would **** up your hard drive and you would have to reinstall Windows.

Of course, it could be that this is one of those urban legends, but, hey, I think it's better to be safe than sorry.

Anyone hear about this bug?

I sure would like to play the game.

By the way, I have Win XP. Hell, will I even be able to play the game? I have heard that Sanitarium will not play on Win XP.

I played it just fine on windows xp. No installation problems.

Same here... plays fine on XP. You may want to make sure your Windows is completely updated first.

And that you have plenty of clean undies on hand. *shudder*
