Tower Video - thoughts?

Question: are movies only on sale for ONE day at Tower? On Tuesday, I was unable to go to the store to pick up "25th Hour" (the day it was released). I planned on going to Best Buy on the way home from work the next day (today), but the weather was so lousy (rain), I opted to stop in Tower Video. It's on my way to my parking garage in the city. I knew it couldn't be more than $19.99 since most new releases are cheaper the week their released. Even at Tower. And even it it would have been $17.99 at Best Buy, it would have been worth the two bucks not having to deal with traffic in this weather. So, I stop in at Tower. And there it was, for $19.99. Just as I suspected. After waiting in line for 10 minutes (the only employee at the register, arguing with a customer about a movie rental return), I get up to the counter to check out. She rings up $24.31 (total). I said "That's on sale for $19.99!". She pulled it out of the bag, looked at the sticker that was on there (same as on every other copy on the shelf) and said "Oh, that sale ended yesterday". And didn't even offer to give it to me for the MARKED price! She even pointed out the tiny expiration date above the sale price. That didn't even have the word "expires" or "expiration". Just a bunch of numbers. Like who the f-ck ever sees that!? Or would even know what those numbers were. Not to mention, why sale only lasts a day for a new release!?? I stood there and couldn't believe she didn't even give it to me for the price it was marked. Unbelievable. Yes, it was my choice to say "Forget it" and leave. But given how long I waited just to check out, and the way this chic operated, I didn't want to waste anymore. Hope the movie is worth it. It's a blind purchase. Meanwhile, adios Tower. You got my last red cent.
