Which Comic Book Movie Will Suck the hardest?

I'm not really a big fan of most comic book movies, the rocketeer and dick tracy were about the only two I did like.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Any movie that tries to establish a "hip" acronym in the trailer is just looking for trouble.

I didn't know "League of the Extraordinary Gents..." was adapted from a comic. Anyone want to confirm this?

I'm really looking forward to that movie.

It is indeed a comic book, you should go read it and enjoy that because none of what made it good will be in the movie.

I dunno...the Hulk looks pretty craptacular. I mean c'mon it's 2003 for chrissake and it looks like a cartoon drawing of the Hulk!

Fantastic Four ... unless it was done as a 60s period piece, and then it might have potential.

I read the comic and I thought it was a good concept, but nothing WOW tacular.

Also anyone here read 30 days of night or creature tech?

Both of those are getting adapted but I've never read them.

Y the last man also got picked up, again cool concept but that was about it.

LXG (groan) looks like total crap to me. I get Avengers 2 vibes every time I see the trailer.

Neither The Hulk or LXG look too impressive to me.

Catwoman:
No Michelle Pfeiffer
No Selina Kyle
No Batman
No Gotham City

What's the point?

30 Days of Night is pretty good. Minimalist but not sure it can make the transition to theaters. Still, vampire movies always develop cult followings and I think this one is likely to.

I guess LXG will bomb. Audiences will be all drained out by the time it comes out, and they've already had their mass orgasm with X2 and Matrix Reloaded.

Ughhh, wouldn't a minimalist comic book be the easiest type of comic to translate into a movie. It's books with 40+ years of history like Fantastic Four that are extremely difficult to translate. I think 30 days of Night didn't translate into a comic book very well & is perfect for a movie concept. Very simple idea.

Simply going by those choices listed I'd have to say Catwoman even without any production being started will be god awful. I'm a big fan of the director, but his style will not translate well for American audiences. The movie has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do w/ the comic book except for the name being the same, & I just can't see Halle "big head" Berry being able to carry an action movie.

At of all of those listed Hellboy will be the best pure comic bok to movie translation.

Studios will do anything to get a leg up on the competition.

Unfortunately I think it'll only do as well as Bulletproof Monk at theaters. It just doesn't have enough name recognition.

LXG will suck IMMENSELY.

Also, the only reason to see The Hulk would be to see the amazingly attractive Jennifer Connelly. Other than that.....

Hulk was at most nine ft. tall in all his comic versions (Grey Hulk, etc.). In this film, he's close to twenty stories tall it seems! What the heck is that? Hulk was NEVER that big. Bring it on comic fanboys. I have comics to prove he wasn't as big as a tank height-wise.

George Clooney helped destroy one franchise...If he plays Reed Richards I'm counting on him helping bury another one.

The Hulk is going to suck. Catwoman will probably stink the place up too.

Are there rumors? Clooney as Reed Richards!? Worst casting choice since Mr. Mom as Batman.

Hulk. It just looks laughable. I would say League as well, but it's not being hyped as much as the Hulk, so it doesn't get the edge.

Hulk with Wonder Woman a close second.

I think LXG looks pretty cool, but then again I haven't read the comic book either. JMO
