GTA fans...what would you like to see in the next GTA game?

I was bored, so I figured I'd rack everyones brain for what they'd like to see in the next GTA. Like improvements, specific vehicles or weapons, etc.

I thought of a few...

First and foremost, why not include motorcycle cops? You got FBI cars and trucks, police cars and helicopters, police vans, and undercover cops, so why not motorcycle cops?

What about ATV's and/or motorcycles with the side car on them, I forget the specific name for them, hehe.

How about the ability to see some punk skateboarding down the street, and jack his board, lol. Then you could do stunts and stuff with it.

Maybe steal some dudes 10 speed as he rides by.

The ability to swim, definitely. I mean come on, nothing worse then accidentally falling into the river/lake and having to start your mission over.

Speaking of missions....what about the ability to save on missions. That'd be nice.

It'd be sweet if the planes at the airport actually weren't able to go right through you.

Anyway, those are just some of my ideas. I haven't heard anything about the next game, so who knows, maybe some of these were already thought of.

How about some multiplayer? I think it'd be cool for one person to drive the car, then the other guy be able to shoot out the passenger side.

Definitely the ability to swim, but where do you think they'll set it? I can think of only one other place that would be American, famed for its corruption, offer a lot of chances for GTA quirkiness and style, and be considerably different: Hollywood.

That's a cool idea. Or be able to get 2 attack choppers and duel a buddy or someone else in the air hehe.

I heard that people were saying because the first GTA had 3 cities (Liberty, Vice, and San Andreas) the next one will be the third city, and be called GTA: San Andreas. Either that, or GTA 4 and the city will be called San Andreas.

Almost forgot, as for the swimming thing, just imagine how much more side quests or easter eggs they can add to the next game if you have the ability to swim and maybe go underwater. That'd be sweet. Sunken ships, and the like

1. A completely new engine with better graphics.
2. A city very large but that makes sense to drive around, something more like Vice City and less like GTA3.
3. No load times ever.
4. A better shooting/targeting system. Killing people sucks.
5. Cooler and funner mini games.
6. More realistic damage, no more cars that blow up so easily.
7. A branching storyline that has different results, let me either team up with the mob or turn the mob in, or team up with the cops, crap like that, give me key choices that effect the outcome of the game.
8. Let me burn my own music into the game.

If you play the PC version, targetting is pretty easy and load times are extremely minimal after initial load up, even on crappy PCs. You can use your MP3s, too.

I might buy the PC version of Vice City when it's cheap, hehe. No need to pay $50 for a game I already own on PS2.

$20-$30 is another story

VEGAS BABY, VEGAS!!!!

Seriously how cool would it be to be able to roam around vegas in a GTA game? It's a great setting with a lot of possible storylines and mob connections.

Online gaming definitely. I've thought of a "Stalker" mode where one person starts out at one end of the city and another (or a team of players) start out at the other side of the city in their vehicle of choice. The object would be to stalk and kill the person, of course, the stalked person would try to kill those who are stalking him too. The assortment of weapons could aid him from getting away. For example, he could climb out of his vehicle and wait on the rooftops with weapons to take out those who are stalking him. Of course, to help you would have the normal blips on the map to get locations. You could do cool things like escape to a helicopter just in time to flee those who are after you and fly to the other end of town. There's so many possiblities with this idea. The adrenaline alone of trying to escape and not being killed would be worth the price of online admission alone. It would be a sort of twisted "hide and seek".

I have only just two a griping storyline GTA: Vice City's storyline was bland and the ending sucked when I play a game I expect a big payoff at the end of it like a Holy S**t moment or a plot twist and second when your character exits a venicle an is on foot the music stops I want the music to keep on going he could wear a walkman or something.

True open-endedness. I want to be able to make decisions--and failures--that affect the course of the game on multiple levels, not just a completely linear main path that has you redoing missions you've failed at over and over and over again until you reach the outcome the game wants that lets you move on to the next mission. And I want to have more freedom in completing missions, and missions that encourage creativity, not just "go pick up this car at point A, take it to point B, follow that car until you get to point C and/or destroy it", etc. etc.

Reworked control mechanics, especially for the combat, would do wonders also.

Aside from some of the things already mentioned, the last time we had this thread, one of the cool ideas we came up with was to have news choppers or news crews that would show up and follow the action when things got interesting. Then when you got back to your safe house you could watch a replay of your exploits on TV. If they showed it in the style of a newscast complete with idiotic comments from the reporters, it could be pretty fun.

The two things that always bugged me about this game are the graphics and the load times. I've never been able to get into this game because of those two things.

They need to fix the star system, which is completely broken in the first two games.

It would be sweet, I agree, but Driver 2 did that

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for them to try and use it, but it's probably going to have to be a fictional city. Otherwise all the complainers will say their kids are "learning" how to rob casinos, and jack taxis, lol

Plot twist like in Mafia? Man that game was sweet.

What load times?!? Sure when you start the game theres a bit of a wait but I thought after that they'd kept the load times to a minimum. I've certainly seen much worse on PS2 (and other systems for that matter).

I agree, what load times? The only load times are the ones when you enter a different part of a city. Even those are short, 5-6 seconds maybe.

I thought of another feature that'd be cool for the next game. I was playing GTA 3 earlier today, and I tried to jack a car, and the door was locked. It wasn't a police car, or a special car, just a sports car parked by the airport.

What would be cool is if your character could smash windows to steal the car. I mean come on, he can run over people, shoot rockets at the police, and fly a plane, but he can't get in a locked car? Put that bat to good use, man

Just a thought, hehe.
