Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning -- Thoughts?
Anyone else buy this?
I had waited 2 years for this disc and am absolutely in love with this disc. Skiba's got an infectious voice and Andriano is awesome on backup, as usual.
The CD is much darker than their other work (which says a lot, since their other work is pretty dark as it is). However, this band's been about nothing but drugs and alcohol to deal with relationships, so this should come as no surprise.

I love it. Like I was with their other albums, it took me a few listens to really get into it, but I think it's great. I think these guys get better and better with each CD. I haven't bought the CD yet, but I plan on it. I was disappointed to see it came in one of those crappy cardboard cases. Oh well.

I like their new cd a lot. Very dark and catchy lyrics. Did anyone catch them on Conan the other night? They sang All On Black, but Matt's voice sounded really strained and not very good.
I saw them about a month ago in Pittsburgh, and they did a great job (luckily I had heard all the new songs by that point).

Matt's had some throat issues for a while now (which is why they cancelled their late winter/early spring tour). All On Black is a damn good song.
