Blind Faith comes to mind.
Honeydrippers.

Granted these were splinter groups and supergroups.

Mother Love Bone only made one real album. They also had a 5 song ep. Their disc showed so much promise...I still like it better than Pearl Jam's Ten.

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses

. . . because we don't count ANYTHING that came thereafter.

Right?

Mad Season
I second this.

Being a Chris Cornell fan, I'll also add Euphoria Morning and Temple of the Dog.

beat me to it! It's funny that they only released one real album, and yet there are dozens of various collections/b-sides/live albums available.

Counts as well as Temple of the Dog, which was Pearl Jam and Soundgarden lamenting the late frontman of Mother Love Bone.

Stupid me never realized The Sex Pistols only did one record.
Temple of the Dog certainly is a classic.
I dig Mother Love Bone too, especially Bone China.
Mad Season, another Pearl Jam spinoff.
Arc Angels is another nice pick. What is Charlie Sexton doing these days?

UNKLE are making a follow-up album (sans Shadow, I believe) right now, though.

I would have to say the Haynes Boys. This is the band Tim Easton fronted before going solo and hooking up with members of Wilco (his solo stuff is great, too). It is an excellent album (Guardian Angel) and worth buying if you can track it down.

New Radicals - Maybe you've been brainwashed, too.

I know Gregg Alexander is still writing (some quite awesome) songs for other artists, but unfortunately not for his "band".

Didn't these guys make a sub par follow up without the lead singer (who passed away before Example came out)? I agree though, Example is a great disc...
