Need help with the GBA Action Replay PC connectivity.

I just purchased a GBA Pro Action Replay (it was $10, and I want the "unavailable" pokemon in Sapphire), but can't get the "PC Connectivity" to work.

I installed the software, connected the USB cable, connected the cable to the device, and windows "found new hardware" and installed the driver. I started the program, and the AR keeps not being found. I tried it in the GBA, with the GBA on and off, and it still won't communicate. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

It is. The computer finds it just fine, but the software won't recognize it.

when i plugged mine in (through the keyboard), it did the "found new hardware" and driver installation deal, but the software wouldnt find it unless it was plugged into a powered port.

but if you are, then i dunno (assuming you are trying it with the gba turned on and at the correct screen)

After it finds new hardware, disconnect cable from GBA and reboot. Then turn on GBA with a game inserted into the AR unit. Wait until it gets to the codes screen and connect USB cable. Launch AR software on PC. This should work.

PS - for all you GBA Gameshark owners. The old unit will still work. All you have to do is download the AR software from their web-site.
