Watching Ellie - 04/22/2003

I thought this was much better than the previous week's episode. The ending was the best, when the basketball knocked the TV off of the wall. Edgar (Steve Correll) just cracks my ass up.

I'm still giving this show a chance. Anyone else?

I agree that this was a lot better than last week. Still a hollow shell of its former self, though. I think it was clear that we needed Don Lake in there to help with the comedy - the boyfriend just isn't funny on his own. Now if they can just get Peter Stormare back too, maybe we'll have something.

Steve Correll is definately the driving comedy force on the show... hilarious.

I agree the ending was gold with the tv falling off the wall!

Looking forward to next week. Hope the ratings held. Last week Ellie ended up about #35 for the week.

Ingvar (Peter Stormare) is still listed as a cast member (http://www.nbc.com/Watching_Ellie/bi..._Stormare.html), so I think we'll see him soon.

I'd certainly tune in to Watching Steve. Hell, get Colbert in there and do some Even Steven.

Is Peter Stormare's name in Ellie's opening credits?

He isn't in the new cast photos for this season. No new head shot for him either, but there is for the other actors.

Good point. I can't remember if his name was in the opening credits or not.

I too thought that it was better than last weeks but still hasn't found its groove yet.

I think this is one of the problems with TV programming. They come up with so many different ideas for shows but don't give any of them a chance to settle in. The first seasons of many of todays top hits were pretty bad ie Simpsons.
