question about Jackass series 1 DVD
Sorry I'm sure this has been asked, I did a search for "Jackass show" and didn't return anything.
But why isn't there a Jackass Volume 1 DVD? Will there ever been or has there been?
Thanks

no, it's just a collection of "best of" bits on volumes 2 and 3...there is no volume 1, they did it as a joke to throw people off
as of this moment there is no full collection of jackass seasons on dvd

A few people have mentioned that season 1 is difficult to release because many of the clips were from the CKY videos... and i guess licensing issues come into play or something.

From my review for DVDTalk ...
"And, no, there isn't a Volume One. Our sultans of humiliation humor are also familiar with irony. Sort of a prank on every video clerk in the country."

If you want more Jackass, check out Steve O, Don't Try This At Home: http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=IMA000001
There is also a Steve O, Don't Try This At Home Volume 2, though I haven't seen it.
Steve O is a very strange individual.
Back in the 80s, the grossly overrated "super group" The Traveling Wilburies released a Volume 1 and a Volume 3 (skipping Volume 2).

I have Don't try this at home part 2 by Steve-o. I highly recommend it if you're a cky/jackass fan. Actually I recommend both part 1 and 2. I think Steve-o will be the first dead out of that whole crew.

I just rented Steve-O Part 2 last night and watched about 20 minutes before I headed off to bed.
Part 2 is like a documentary on Jackass' stage show, with some home clips tossed in.
Part 1 was sort of Steve-O's personal home collection from before Jackass and through Jackass.
Both are as good as the Jackass Volumes 2 & 3 and are definately worth watching at least once.
