Spiritualized: The Complete Works, Vol.1
I was wondering if anyone had purchased this or received an advance copy of the disk. Many of the spirit. boards seem to espouse conflicting messages about the disk.
Ive really like the maturity of the band from the early days of Spaceman3 through Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in space and find them to be generally underrated in terms of a US following....
Anyways, if anyone has any thoughts on this album, share them, please.
Cheers,
BRK

I haven't heard it yet, but I'm picking it up as soon as it's released.
I already have a good deal of the songs on this release, but it'll be nice to hear all of the rest. The only bad thing I've read about the release is that it has some kind of copy protection which makes it difficult to play on computers. Normally, whenever I purchase an album I immediately rip it to my hard drive. This time it'll be more trouble.
Since I haven't actually gotten this release yet, I'll mention a related item I have gotten. I picked up Forged Prescriptions this past week, which is a 2 disc release of a ton of demos from Spacemen 3's Perfect Prescription recording sessions. There's some really good stuff on that, including a few unreleased songs which I'd never heard before. I definitely recommend this one.
