Any way to check connection speed off PS2 Network Adapter?
Seems like a simple thing to do, but I haven't found any websites or posts about it.
Is there any way to see how good your network connection is when you connect via the PS2 network adapter? In most games, you can see how good the connection is to enter a game (SOCOM) or how good someone else's connection is. I know there's no built in functionality, but is there an easy way to do this?
I've been able to get roster updates for NBA 2K3 fine, but that doesn't really rely on connection speed. But when I tried to play online for the first time, the game was really choppy.

Yeah... I just figured that some online game would show your network status by pinging their own server from within the game itself. I guess not.
