Worst songs by your favorite band.

What are the worst songs that your favorite bands have done?
My favorite band is Radiohead and here are their 3 worst songs:

1. How do you?
Yuck. Punk crap.

2. Pop is dead.
I just wish this song's dead.

3. Pulk/Pull Revolving doors
Pointless noise

So which songs from your favorite band do you wish never existed?

The first song that came to me is "Revolution No. 9" by the Beatles. They're whole catalog is great, but I just can't get into this "song."

Led Zeppelin - "Going To California"
I know tons of Zep fans love this song, but I've never understood it's appeal. I can't even listen to it.

Peace on Earth- U2

The lyrics to this song sound like Bon Jovi could have written them.

That's not good.

U2 - "Angel of Harlem" (While it's grown on me over the years, I still can't get that initial "WTF?" out of my head from the very first time I heard the tune)

R.E.M. - "Everybody Hurts" (Micheal takes a stab at the treacly Simon and Garfunkel catalog - to disastrous results. This is always the "time to get a beer and pee" song when I see them live.)

Prince - Although I'm tempted to type "everything he's done since 'The Truth'" - I'll be kind and go with the staple answer: "Grafitti Bridge"

As a Depeche Mode addict, I'll have to break down and say "What's Your Name?"

U2--Numb. I'm a huge, huge fan of the Edge and his guitar playing going back to "Boy", but this song blows, and his guitar sounds terrible!

The Police--Every Breath You Take. Maybe this just got overplayed for me. The guitar riff just lacks that dark edge that was in so many of the other great songs by the Police.

R.E.M.--I'm gonna go with Shiny Happy People--not their finest moment, IMO.

The Clash----awww, let's face it--they never wrote a bad song .

Metallica - "I Disappear" from the M:i-2 soundtrack (right?). Though some maintain that everything post-'86 blows. Here's hoping "St. Anger" is as good as they say.

And I'll re-state what I contributed to the "Opening Song" thread and assert that "The Dam at Otter Creek" is by far the worst number on Live's "Throwing Copper" disc.......and they chose to open the album with it!

Tool - "Hooker With a Penis." Misleading title aside (I expected it to tell the tale of Eddie Murphy picking up a tranny prostitute), this is the worst song on "AEnima" - by a long shot. Which sucks all the more vigorously since it comes after what might be Tool's *best* song ever: "Forty-Six & 2." [I skip the non-song tracks.]

It also pleases me to see that other people find REM's "Everybody Hurts" to be the musical equivalent of water torture.
