Excellent, excellent episode that really could've been a great series finale. I liked how everything tied-in to what happened in past episodes (especially the pilot). Two things bothered me a bit though. The Leela dating subplot is right out of the "Cyber House Rules" playbook. Also, how could Fry defeat the Brains the first time if the events in "Roswell That Ends Well" didn't occur yet?

Trying to figure all that out just kind of kills the point I mean c'mon... If he was his own grandfather - then he has always been his own grandfather. Which is a total implausability, which is just ****ed up as is... so one more ****up can't hurt

Well, this seemed like a really good episode, for the 15 minutes that they didn't interrupt it to bombard us with information about a possible tornado that didn't come anywhere close to us.

wow, this was an awesome episode.

They tied in stuff from about 4 past episodes. Most importantly, when they showed a "flashback" of the pilot in a recent episode, we saw Nibbler in it. Glad they tied up all the loose ends.

Okay, now that I've downloaded the episode, I can say that the rest of it was just as good.

Those Nibblonians are just so darn cute.

Good episode.

I loved the Nibblonian rolling around on the ground playing with the cat toy while he was talking to Fry

Good episode this week. I hope Fox carries through on it's promise to run "new" episodes of Futurama during the summer.

I agree with you this would make a good finale. All in all I really liked this episode and I can't wait to hear the commentary for this episode.

Damn You Fox! WTF were you thinking cancelling this for Beene and that other God Awful show Pitts or what ever the **** its called?

Did everyone catch all the Babylon 5 stuff?

From the space suit Fry was wearing in the first scene to the council of nibblers - and the whole plot was right out of B5. But I won't go into too much detail because it would actually spoil B5 for those who haven't seen it yet.

It isn't getting cancelled for either, the lineup right now includes both Beene and Pitts - along w/ Simpsons, Futurama, KOTH, and Malcom. That said, how that Beene show ever got high ratings is beside me, I mean damn is it stupid.. Hell The Pitts - which is so over the top I have to admit it has some charm - is better and got half the advertising beene got.

Anyway, Futurama, Family Guy, and Andy Richter need to be back on FOX ASAP.

...that or Cartoon Network needs to pay and get more eps of FG and Futurama made.

You're not just getting my hopes up, are you? I sat through this show Sunday, and it was the longest four hours I've ever experienced. I wanted to hunt down the creators of the show and put forks in their heads. It was so *painful* to watch.

I managed to sit through the first laugh track of the Pitts. Needless to say, the TV was off by 9:32. Maybe it's not fair of me to judge a show based on the laugh track, but when it's being used for unfunny jokes, that's the killer.

That's the thing. The laugh track wasn't even being used on jokes. It was being used on whatever the people were saying, nevermind any actual comedy. It was like watching America's Funniest Home videos and wondering what they were showing the audience, because they obviously weren't watching the same thing I was to be laughing so hard.

Come to think of it, The Pitts reminds me of That 80s Show. Oh ugh. I just got a nasty chill down my spine.

The episode was called "the why of fry" though we wouldn't say that you should download copyrighted material off any online p2p service.
