fear and loathing CC
id like a review from someone who actually owns the disc and might even be able to compare it to the original realease version.. the reasons im hesitating the purchase: only seen it once. feel its the type of movie you have to watch with the right company. $30 tag.
but.. in the right company, with a dts track and a great transfer (i have a capable system) i think that would justify a purchase

As for a comparison with the original release, there is none. It's miles beyond the Universal disc in terms of quality, presentation and extras.

Actually I would say that the video quality is probably equal or worse by a very small amount to the original Universal disc. That is one thing I will give Universal, they usually do a good job with the picture on their barebones discs.
However, the choice is a no brainer if you want DD 5.1, or DTS, 4 audio commentaries, all sorts of documentaries, a wealth of information and being able to hear that HST thought it was "a failed attempt by a gain of vicious queers."
