Review wanted on Knockaround Guys
missed this one in theatres, but saw the trailer well over a year before the movie came out. Was wondering if it is any good, as I am a huge Seth Green fan, and Vin Diesel is good depending on the movie (no more crap like Fast and the Furious or XXX please!!!).

Thanks narrator. I'll just pick it up tomorrow, have them price match the cheapest place where I work. I would rent it, but the only rental place around here is Blockbuster (4 blocbusters in a 10 mile radius, and no other video stores). As an ex-Blockbuster employee (I quit of my own volition) I refuse to rent from them having witnessed their business practices first hand (for 2 years), and I know how they truly screw people.

Well, I just broke my New Year's resolution. I did my 1st blind buy for 2003 with Knockaround Guys.
After all the negative reviews and little press this title got, I too was surprised how much I enjoyed it. So much so, that I consider it a keeper.
Weaknesses:
- Simple / some what familiar mob plot
- A bit predictable
- Clichéd hicks
- Slightly less fulfiling ending
Strengths:
+ A great cast that delivers: Barry Pepper & Tom Noonan were some of my favorite performances.
+ Very entertaining without trying to be more than was intended
+ Some interesting character development
+ I liked the soundtrack
+ 5.1 dts track
+ Nice menus
If your a fan of mob movies, then you'll enjoy this film. It's definitely worth a rental and if you love mob flicks you should consider a purchase.
All in all, I'd give 3-1/2 out of 5 Stars or a 7 out of 10.
