Rolling Stones "40 Licks" - what's the deal??

They left off their top 5 smash hit from 1986 "Harlem Shuffle." What good is a hits collection if you leave off a hit? Dang-nammit! And I was all set to buy this because the last compilation I bought only went as high as 1984 ("Rewind").

Apparently, this album is a collection of their personal favorite hits. There are tons of songs that I am disappointed did not make the cut, but I still picked it up anyway.

Hmmm, IF I was going to buy this CD I'd prefer just about any other hit than that.

It's a fundamental law of the universe that every greatest hits package has at least one obvious ommission.

For me, it was the lack of "Bitch", but "Harlem Shuffle" was a fairly big hit and should have been included too.

I never liked "Harlem Shuffle", but it should have been included. I was more annoyed that they left off "Waiting On A Friend" and "She's So Cold"; they certainly deserved to be included over worthless crap like "You Got Me Rocking".

It's still a great package to introduce people to the Stones, or great as a driving compilation.
