The wait is long, but the time and care they are putting into looks to pay off with a fantastic RPG. I'm sure its going to be well worth the long wait.

If it was Nintendo, it would be slated to be released Q1 2003. The 2004 release date wouldn't exist until Q4 2003.

Where's Suikoden III for XBox I wonder. I don't see it up for preorder anywhere and I saw a date in March in a few magazines in December.

Yeah - this is going to be one of the most amazing games ever (hopefully)... I'll wait as long as it takes.

Wasn't there already a Project Ego/Fable thread or two?

I don't see why the Xbox just doesnt pull MMORPG's like Asherons' Call or Shadowbane on it... Fable has graphics like most of those games but playing a game alone is so boring in this day in age.

Going to have to disagree with oyu on this one. I'll take a good single player rpg over a multiplayer one anyday. Have you seen the complete and utter idiots you have to play with online? Yikes - check out the ign.com boards - those would be your party members/enemies.

I heard about this game months ago, and I've been hyped ever since.

I agree with ya xmiyux, I'll take an immersive well done single player RPG over a MMORPG anytime. As a former Everquest player I had my share of "fun" with idiots and beggars but overall I still had a great 2 years in EQ .

Take Morrowind for example. After 3 hours of playing on my PC it dawned on me that this was not massively multiplayer; I kinda forgot I was playing a single player game. The massive world and interaction with NPC's are real cool (and a NPC won't beg you for money or want to "cyber" with you )

Oh BTW got a new link with more pics and a trailer for Fable:

I also prefer Single Player. The MMORPG market is so bloated right now that we don't need another one. There are plenty of options in that category.

Fable does look cool, but it's being hyped all to hell. Remember, this is from the same folks who brought us Black and White, which had similiar hype but didn't deliver in the end.

Still, I'll follow the news on this one and pick it up if the reviews and word of mouth are good.

I think Fable is the American type of RPG like Morrowind.

Nothing wrong with single player games either. Phantasy Star Online was great until I got to the point where I really needed help to get through the missions. Having to play multiplayer sucks IMO. For every good person you find to play online with you have to deal with 10 idiots. Its a bad ratio.

I won't argue with you on the hype surrounding Black and White but that game was developed by Lionhead Studios and Peter Molyneaux. Fable is being developed by Big Blue Box (a satellite studio of Lionhead) under the direction of Dene and Simon Carter. Molyneaux is only an advisor on the project so it's a bit unfair to compare it to Black and White.

With the popularity of the PlayStation 2 RPG Suikoden III already reaching impressive levels
Why did they stop making it if it was so popular?

It wasn't that popular.

I'm very excited about Fable. It looks like it could be an amazing game.
