I know there are some color issues, but the 2-dvd set in R3 Hong Kong is NTSC and has alot of features, plus I've seen it for $13 at my local store.

I'd be very surprised if Buena Vista didn't fix the color problem for the US release (but then again, you never know with those guys).
Is the US one going to have DTS? I have the region 2 Japanese one and the DTS track is very nice.
It would suck if the US disc has a better ( ie. corrected) picture and the Japan one has better sound. (Brotherhood of the Wolf all over again).

It's a Buena Vista Japan disc, so unfortunately, the mouse is still getting your money.

No DTS-ES on the R1 disc, just DD 5.1 and three dubs (English, French, Spanish).

even w/out the dts-es sound (is it critical?), i'm going to pick up the r1 version. good enough (and cheaper) w/out messing around w/ region coding. but the red-shift has to be fixed.

I found it to be neglible myself, and probably wouldn't have noticed it all if I hadn't been informed of it beforehand.

i even looked for it, couldn't tell
my wife couldn't see it either
maybe it's a problem with those who don't change the default tv settings?
