What to do with my PS2??

Here is the deal. My brother in law is selling his PS2 (actually, I put it on ebay), and the think has hardly been used (I estimate less than 20 hours total). This is a first release PS2. I have mine that I bought about 8 mos. after release in the Gran Tourismo pack. Mine, needless to say, has been used a lot more than his.

Which unit should I sell?

Should I sell his and keep mine, or vice versa? Would it be worth it to switch to an early release that has been played less? Which unit would be most likely to get a disc read error? Or am I just worrying too much about nothing?

Thanks for your time and opinions.

I'd sell both if I was you.. buuut.. that's probably not an option.

I'd say you're worrying a bit much about it, if you took care of yours there wouldn't be any reason to swap out for an older model, unless the machine really is that unreliable, I don't know as I don't own one. I don't remember if the first run models were problematic or not but if they were, I think the choice would be obvious in that case.

Depending on how much you're selling it for, why don't you keep it as a spare?

Shouldn't matter. Unless one of you put your system through an intense amount of stress (like hitting it with a bat) then there should be no difference in your systems.

Well, to be perfectly honest, one of those isn't yours to keep... so I suggest you sell his and just be done with it.

i don't think it matters except for the dvd driver. does either one have the driver so you don't need to put it on the memory card? sell the one that needs the memory card.

I am just going to auction his. Keeping a spare is not necessary. Thanks for your input.

Just give it to me for free.

Seriously though, email me how much you want for it.
