Dokken, Whitesnake, and Scorpions 2003 Tour

Just saw the show last night here in Dallas. Very good overall. Nextstage is a great venue.

Dokken: Sounded a little off. Don just can't seem to hit the high notes like the good ole days. The volume was a little low also.

Whitesnake: Best performance of the show. Coverdale still has his voice. Music was clear and loud. Very nice to hear the old school songs again.

Scorpions: Headliner. Very good showing. Played all the good stuff, Hurricane, Blackout, etc... Most of the time Klaus Meine was difficult to understand. He seemed to yet out the name of every song but, through his screaming he made them sound the same.

If this show comes to your town you money will be well spent.

Is Don Dokken allowed to use the Dokken name? Last I remember (a decade ago?) he wasn't.

And who's playing with Whitesnake nowadays? I don't suppose Vivian Campbell's still in the fold?

He's been in Def Leppard since March 1992. he took the spot formerly held by the late Steve Clark, and officially debuted with the band at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Show (though they had warmup club gigs a few days in advance).

When DL isn't on tour or in the studio, Vivian's also the lead singer & guitarist of Clock.
