http://www.meijer.com/daze/020103deals.asp

I'm passing on the cube: I'll be lining up for those Pork Shoulders instead (yummy!)

Meijer's rocks, it's the one stop store for us college students, even though it is a super mega shopping center. If I didn't have a GC already this would definitly be the time to get it.

lol, someone in the Hot Deals Forum said nintendo is doing this because they are "completely abandoning the Gamecube"

lol!

yep, only it sounded like they meant the abandoning to have already happened as opposed to the end of the life cycle, either way i didn't read too much into it so i thought it kind of funny.

back on topic, meijer's mailed me a $10 off coupons for video games a few weeks ago so check your mail (real mail, not email). if you live in the midwest.

They are probably doing it to get rid of their supply, because of the buy system, get 1 game free thing.

Yeah, but at $99, it's the same as giving away a game so it doesn't really make sense, unless they don't intend to sell GC stuff anymore. I don't think Sears even sells the GC.

Either way, if Nintendo does abandon the system, it'll be cheaper to get with the games to follow.
