EBGames B&M markdowns/deals on Gamecube games

Saw posts on FW about a couple of Gamecube deals at EBGames B&M:

Hunter: The Reckoning has been marked down to a new regular price of 9.99; there's also a $5-off-instantly coupon on the January coupon sheet available in-store, making the final price 4.99.

Bloodrayne has been marked down to a new regular price of 19.99, and there's a mail-in coupon on the same January sheet whereby you get a $20 voucher for future purchase.

Metacritic and Gamerankings.com both score these 2 games as middle-of-the-pack Gamecube offerings (Hunter 87/86; Bloodrayne 65/96 [?!]), so might be worth picking up with the current deals if you can find them in stock. Last EBGames deal I did a couple of weeks ago, I called first and they agreed to hold until closing the last copies of the 2 games I wanted.

Bloodrayne is a good action game, especially for the price. Hunter is a good party game, short for one-player though.

Does anyone know if EB B&M's are marking down the Xbox versions of Hunter Reckoning and Bloodrayne games too? EB has been marking a lot of games down to must buy prices. Thanks for the heads up!!

I was having a lot of fun with Bloodrayne for about 5 hours, then I got really sick of it. I think it gets really repetitive, the number of foes you face is a lot, but the variety just isnt there, I pretty much spent 5 hours killing 5 different enemies. For $9.99 its not too bad, but I was actually having more fun with the Buffy game than this one.

No, if I remember correctly, the coupon was for $5 off of Hunter only.

Stopped by the local EBGames store on the way home and got both games with the deals as described: $4.99 for Hunter, $19.99 for Bloodrayne, mailing in the Blooodrayne coupon for the $20 voucher.

I think I've got something like $100 in EB vouchers in the works from recent GC/GBA offers; now if only they'd start showing up. Along those lines, the manager told me if this voucher didn't show up in a month he'd give me $20 off any game if I bring in copies of the receipt and coupon. That was nice of him, although he also said he hasn't had any complaints about people not receiving vouchers from the numerous recent deals.

What do these flyers look like? Our store said they dont do coupons anymore and if you wanted to be able and get the games at the $9.99 and $19.99 prices that I would have to buy that Gamers Edge card thing. I was kind of mad when I left and didnt really look to see if there were any coupons because I felt like I was being scammed. They had some flyers by the register that were glossy and proffesionally printed....kinda looked like the inserts you find in the Sunday paper. If anyone has a scan that would be really great.

I stopped by my EBX in Redmond, WA to get Bloodrayne and they didn't have the rebate forms to send away for the $20 rebate. He sold me the game and gave me an instant rebate of $19.98. My final cost was $.01. I also picked up three strategy guides for $.01 each. My big purchase of Bloodrayne for Xbox, and three strategy guides was a total of $.04.

There is also a $10 coupon (not mail in rebate) for Rogue Leader on the sheet. EB's regular price for this is $19.99, bringing the cost down to $9.99.

I noticed that you said you purchased some game guides for a $.01 each. Is there a sale on Game Guides at EB? If there are some game guides for $.01 which ones did you get?

Thanks for the info!!

Just picked up the 2 games. Thanks for the heads up guy. I figure i can use the 20 dollar mail in voucher for zelda which I have preordered there anyways

The flyer says "January Winter Sale", If anyone really needs the coupons scanned in I can. The one I went to actually had the coupons cut out and taped to the games to which they applied.

What deals do they have for GBA (other than the lord of the rings game)? In fact, what deals does anyone have for GBA? I never see those posted.
