Why are they so sporadic with new eps.? They need a more consistent schedule IMO.

They need to show four new episodes in each of three sweeps periods (Nov, Feb, May). Also they need to show at least about four at the beginning of the season (Sept, Oct). That leaves only six to spread over the whole rest of the season.

I think there are a lot of reasons the "sweeps" system is bad and there has been talk of changing it.

I wish they would! The whole 6-8 weeks between Angel was a bit much!

Without the Olympics, this year's Feb. sweeps should be better all around. I remember last year the typically full TV schedule was all but dead as other networks didn't bother to compete with ANYTHING.

I just checked epguides.com and Angel was away for over 8 weeks, just 2 days shy of 2 whole months. I don't think we've had to deal with that long of a hiatus before. And according to epguides.com, we'll have another 6 week hiatus in March and April.

Mid-March to Mid-April are traditionally dead periods for any network, and it sucks!
