Help with this song please!!

Can someone tell me the name of this song and who does it???
Its from the 80's..Ive been told its done by a female and is a slow song..

Gracias...

Listen as the wind blows
from across the great divide
voices trapped and yearning
memories trapped in time
the night is my campanion
and solitude my guide
would i spend forever here and not be satisfied?
And i would be the one
to hold you down kiss you soft
i'll take your breath away

Sarah McLachlan "Possession" from her 1999 Mirrorball album

(not from the 80s though)

IMHO, the Mirrorball version is MUCH better.

Actually there are 2 versions on Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. There is an unlisted version at the end of the cd which doesn't have the dance-drum type beats. Its just her and a piano. I personally like the original version with the beat.
