You think so? I think it looks decent. I heard it was getting good word of mouth, also.

I second that notion. I also agree that he saw it before Gangs of New York.

They were good enough to tell us the whole story in 2 min. - now I don't need to see the actual movie.

You must learn the internet is an extremely negative place, especially message boards that talk about movies. It's become customary for people to sh*t on a movie before they even seen it. The AICN talkbacks mentality has spread like a wildfire.

If you don't like my opinion, too frickin' bad. If I had a dime everytime some one on a movie message board sh*t on a film they haven't seen, I'd be a millionaire. That is the kind of crap I'd expect on AICN talkbacks, not on a board like this.

Here's an novel idea. Watch the film before you proclaim it stinks. If it doesn't interest you, don't see it. But until you do, you're not in a position to proclaim it stinks.

No one said the movie sticks, they just said it looks dreadful. Which it does.

Really. They showed 90% of the plot in that trailer. Stupid studios.

How lucky for Bruce that the woman they're sent to rescue is supermodel hot.

Would you rather it be Kathy Bates?

That is Monica Belluci and she is a babe! I will be checking this out regardless of what everyone thinks of the trailer.

Bruce, Monica, Action -- not a bad combination in my mind. Personally I liked Black Hawk Down--it told a tough true (dramatized) story. If there are parallels here then fine.

I looks WORSE than Black Hawk Down, and Black Hawk Down was terible; more a video game than a movie. And what's worse, it's like a game you can't play yourself but are doomed to watch being played, like watching your friend play a video game.

Only reasons I would want to see this are Monica's Belluccis (which will hopefully be seen in the Matrices).

"Tears of the Sun" staring Bruce Willis

Anybody see a new trailer during the weekend's football games for a movie with Bruce Willis called Tears of the Sun that's coming out in March?

It was about Bruce Willis leading a team of Navy SEALS into Nigeria to rescue some a doctor and some refugees when the entire rebel army counter-attacks n' stuff.

Looked kinda like a mixture of Black Hawk Down and Proof of Life.

After 9/11... I just can't watch a self proclaimed coward in a role as a tough guy.... esp a Navy Seal.

Thank you.

As much as I enjoyed 'Training Day' in a guilty pleasure sort of way, Fuqua's follow-up film looks much too contrived and formulaic to generate much interest on my part.
'Blackhawk Down' was far from perfect, but I can almost guarantee 'Tears' will be a hunk o' crud, not worthy of mention in the same breath as R.Scott's film.
I know,I know, I'm pre-judging a film before it's release, but the trailer looks really bad IMHO.

I wonder what the people of Nigeria will think about this movie. Or do we even care as Americans?
