This is my favorite of the reality shows, and hope that many people watch this one tonight.

Why did they go to 2 parters now?

I wish they would have annouced this before hand so I could have skipped it. I have nightclass tommorrow and The Shield gets vcr priority over this.

This was funny. The lie detector is always the best part.

They should have called this Meet The Ex Fear Factor/Celebrity Blind Date Contestants Who Try And Win Over My Folks.

edit - Tawny wasn't on Fear Factor, but Celebrity Blind Date going out with Screech.

The 2nd girl thrown off, I'm pretty sure she was on one as well, as well as the Hawaiian girl.

The 2nd part is being repeated Saturday night I believe. At least according to my Tivo.

According to my "TV Guide" on my TV, the 10:00 pm episode of "The Shield" gets repeated at 11:00 pm ET tonight so you could tape "Meet My Folks" at 10 and then "The Shield" at 11.

Edit: According to TVGuide.com, the 11:00 pm episode of "The Shield" is a different one than the one at 10:00 pm. (I assume the 10:00 pm episode is the new one.)

I dunno which one is correct. (My guess TV Guide.com as it seems odd that FX would repeat the new episode right after they shown it.) Since it seems you are a bigger fan of "The Shield" than "Meet The Folks", "Meet The Folks" does repeat on Saturday at 10:00 pm and I'm not sure how quickly FX repeats new "The Shield" episodes (they may repeat them a week later?) my suggestion would be to tape "The Shield" tonight at 10:00 pm and then tape the second part of "Meet The Folks" at 10:00 pm on Saturday evening.

Actually The Shield at 11 IS the same episode on at 10. I believe they call it the "encore" of The Shield. So you COULD watch Meet My Folks at 10 and then shoot over to FX for The Shield at 11. Doesn't anybody here watch The Osbournes?

WTH??? Why divide it into 3 parts? And then have to wait until Saturday. But I love the promo for the next episode that says to make sure and "tape" the conclusion.

Also a little tip, if you are ever on "Meet My Folks", never tell your parents the person you like because they will just eliminate them.

This thread turned from show comments to a programming guide. Thanks for the advice.

Anything good from the lie detector, that's the only part I regret I missed.

Because her answer was "yes"?

I don't understand something...

<spoilers>

the promos made is seem like Lisa was the one looking through mom's purse... but that's impossible now, isn't it?

</spoilers>

For sure the parents are eliminating the girls they feel their son would be attracted to solely for looks. Though I got the feeling from Lisa that she didn't really want to even kiss him all that much, she's definitely someone that the guy is attracted to solely by looks. Isn't she the one that said that there were 52 states? (that "intelligence" competition was hilarious, BTW) And her talent was blowing bubbles while rollerskating in a skimpy top?

What was up with the dad's questions to Lisa during the lie detector test? "Do you like me?" "Have you ever had an affair with a married man?"

I think they know he's not going to pick Tawny, so they're not really going to weed her out yet. I think it'll be Chelsea, especially after the two other girls started kissing for no reason and the parents got disgusted.

They definitely are trying to milk this thing though. Three shows in one week? the last one on Saturday? Geez...

I think Stephanie will be chosen since she's the only one with any brains!

The parents will overlook the lesbo tendencies since she did admit it at least

Someone mentioned that some of these girls have been on other reality dating shows in the past. Is there some kind of pool that these shows pick from? It seems like I've seen the same girls on a number of different shows... That Lisa girl looks familiar.

My other question is why would these women put up with this? Just to go to Europe with some guy? For the television exposure? For the chance at "true love?" I mean, these women aren't exactly desperate...
