And btw, that last 30 seconds was one of the most moving scenes I've ever seen on TV. Drama OR sitcom. Great use of the Colin James Hay song - "Waiting For My Real Life to Begin"

Week 3 of asking:

Where's Rowdy?

I'm starting to get concerned. Did his contract expire? Personal problems? Back to the store for restuffing?

I agree completely, and the fact that the style of SCRUBS can be so far out there sometimes it didn't seem out of place, very poignant.

Definately not one of the funnier episodes, but interesting. I hope this doesn't mean the end of Elliot's ...err ... exposure.

I have to agree this is the best sitcom on the air as far as I am concerned it does not follow the "sitcom guidelines" most of these sitcoms have. It is one of the most entertaining shows out there. There also seems to be great chemistry between the characters that feels true. I love how they are not afraid to show death and other uncomfortable scenes with a little humor or from a different perspective.

That circle of live stuff J.D. was spewing made me laugh especially when he tricked Cox into saying Simba's name.

Great episode, and the ending was very moving. I found it strange that Elliot was nowhere to be seen in the musical ending, even though Ted and the others from her storyline were there. Very touching ending...

Thank you for this info.! I was just going to post asking if anyone knew the name of that song at the end of the episode. Excellent use of the song in that episode.

This show gets better and better each week. I'm surprised that there's still so much of a drop-off in viewership from Friends (at least, last I heard - I read somewhere that NBC was a bit disappointed that more people don't tune in).

I hope Scrubs doesn't become one of those shows considered "too smart" or too different from the norm for most TV audiences (ala Undeclared, Action, Twin Peaks, Sports NIght, etc.). I'm worried that NBC is so ratings-driven that they might move it from timeslot to timeslot until it eventually fades away. I really, really hope that doesn't happen, though.

How about the Candid Camera fantasy? That was hilarious. Nice way to find humor in a sad situation, as someone esle mentioned above.

This is by far my favorite sitcom on TV.

I thought it was good.

I agree about what a sad ending.

My favorite part was the start of the show. With Turk and JD talking about the Turk proposing to Carla. Carla comes out and asks them what they were talking about and JD's comeback of "bitch's and ho's" was hilarious

The beginning part when Elliot is changing had me rolling. She's kneeling down and then The Todd is standing over her. She turns her head and is given a face full of crotch to which the Todd says "Have you two met?". Elliot says "You're seriously overcompensating that you're not gay" to which Todd replies "Oh yeah, if I'm gay, why do I work out so much?!" Great stuff!

Buffy fans -
Did anyone else kind of flashback to the "Once More With Feeling" episode from Buffy when Turk sang? His voice reminded me of Giles singing. In both cases, I didn't expect their voices to be that good. It turned out that Anthony Stewart Head had voice training and stage singing experience before.

For being the funniest show on TV, they really know how to intertwine dramatic elements into the plot every once in a while. This is easily the best overally cast on tv - their chemisty is perfect. This is one of the few shows that can go off on fifty different tangents in one episode and still come across beautifully.

Well, considering their first date ended in a fizzle, and their last date ended with him either cancelling or standing her up... maybe he's not. I kinda thought that his decision to go comfort Eliot was the end of the JD-GiftShopGirl storyline. Hopefully not, though.

I agree that it is in no danger of being cancelled. But every show that has followed Friends during the last 9 years has always been in the Top 10. The problem is, the big drop off of viewership for the show following Friends. And all of them were cancelled. But the majority of them were total crap, whereas Scrubs is one of the best comedys during the last 10 years.

Thank God there is no laughtrack on Scrubs. I don't need to be told when to laugh. I think that having Friends come back for one last season is good and might help bring more viewership to Scrubs. Then Scrubs can be the 8 o'clock anchor for Fall 2004. Great show!

Chris
