Bonus Zelda disks available w/o pre-order??

Does anyone think that the two bonus disks of the Ocarina of Time will be available to buy after "the wind waker" comes out.............or will you only be able to get them by pre-order..

I'm asking cause its tough to get a good deal on pre-order video games........and yes i know that the bonus disk is a deal in itself........

also, while i'm at it, is there any place besides gamestop.com and ebworld.com that you can get the bonus disks when you pre-order? Amazon and places like that don't advertise any bonus disks.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can get the bonus discs for $15 by reserving Wind Waker at EB and never coming to pick it up when it arrives.

You can probably get them at Best Buy. I asked an associate if they were getting the bonus disc. He told me they hadn't gotten any info if they were or not, but he checked the computer and found a sku for a $15 preoder for the game. He said that was probably it since they don't take conventional preorders. They usually have a package of some sort that comes with a promo item(cd, demo, or in this case the Zelda bonus disc), and a redeeming coupon good for the amount you paid to be discounted off the game when you pick it up.

I think this could be a somewhat hard to get disc after the game comes out. Luckily I got in on that sweet EBWorld.com deal with free overnight shipping for $50 plus the bonus zelda.

You are implying you want the bonus disc but not the Wind Waker game. Why on earth would you want the old Zelda and not the new one?

If you want them both then buying them separately would certainly cost more than buying them both together, wouldn't it?

Besides, isn't $49.99 a good price for 3 games?

To me it seems that he's implying that he wants both:

"I'm asking cause its tough to get a good deal on pre-order video games"

But I don't think you'll be able to find the game for much lower than $50 when it comes out. Target has the $5 off coupon. There will probably be similar deals. But you aren't going to get much lower than that, so you might as well preorder to be safe.

Just wait until the disc is available (Feb 23 I think) and then find the store with the cheapest price on Wind Waker, pre buy it and take the disc home with you.

True it's probably going to be $49.99 at best, but it's well worth it. Plus that's likely less than you'll end up paying if you buy the disc some where else like Ebay, and then wait a couple months and get Wind Waker cheaper from half.com or something.

Personally, $50 for a disk with one of my all time favorite games, an new version of it, and Wind Waker which is all but guaranteed to make my all time top 5, is a heck of a bargain.

Will most B&R stores carry the extra Zelda disc like Wal-Mart and Target?

"You only get the disc is you pre-order by a certain date. After that, no free disk."

does anyone know what that date is ?

Im definately willing to pay $50 for the set, but which online store is the most reliable (shipping, getting exactly what is described to you, overall satisfaction)? Ive checked EB and they seem decent (anyone had expereince?). But I would feel a little more comfotable buying in on like Best Buy because they have stores that I could return it to just in case something was wrong with the order. But then again I dont think Best Buy has the other 2 discs with a preorder...

At the TRU I work at, we haven't received any info on pre-ordering Wind Waker yet, much less the bonus discs. As soon as I hear anything, I'll let you guys know.

I was told at EB, Babbage's, and Gamestop by the managers that there will only be 100,000 copies of the bonus disc available in the US, and only the first people to pre-order in each store were guaranteed copies.

Best Buy is most definitely doing something with the Zelda bonus discs with pre-orders for Wind Waker.

There's not really any details out there yet, but look for something in-store mid-February for $14.99. . .

Its not going to be a regular retail item, they are giving them away with your copy of the game for the first 100,000 people to pre order the game.
