Is it true that the Canadian Aliance Good Will Hunting is 16/9

I wanted to double check with you guys if the Canadian Aliance edition of the Good Will Hunting is in fact anamorphic? DVDCompare says so....but then again I checked at DVDSOON and am not sure that is really the case.....

Maybe you could provide with a link that confirms that and a place that actually sells it......

This is very interesting.....

Yes it is... Remembering back to the murkey past, I recall that that is the very reason why I have the Canadian edition in my collection.

Rumours abound, that Disney quietly changed the US edition to anamprohic and new copies on from the last run on are anamorphic. It's a crap shot as far as that goes though.

DVDSoon are in Canada so they'll only sell the Alliance version (I doubt they'd go to the bother of importing an inferior disc).

It is anamorphic and it's very impressive. I did have a problem with some of the extras with my Toshiba DVD player -but I'm sure that's very rare and would have been corrected by now.

My DVD cover is all English (bought 3 years ago I think) and I guess it may be English/French now.
