It's certainly not a definitive collective since almost everything beyond "Dancing on the Ceiling" is not included. Greatest hits from his days with the Commodores and solo, YES.

Agreed, with this having a bonus disc why not put more songs on it.
Here's a few more they should have included on it:
Love Will Conquer All from his 1986 CD Dancing on the Ceiling
Deep River Woman from his 1986 CD Dancing on the Ceiling
My Destiny from his 1992 CD Back to Front
Love, Oh Love from his 1992 CD Back to Front
Don't Wanna Lose You from his 1996 CD Louder Than Words
Ordinary Girl from his 1996 CD Louder Than Words
Time from his 1998 CD Time

"My Love" should be included as well; it was a top 10 single from the 1982 Lionel Richie album.

Can't Slow Down and Dancing on the Ceiling are both so good, it's hard to take any song away from them in a Greatest Hits collection.

other songs that should be on it....

Midnight Magic (Midnight Magic) Great all-out Disco song! I'm 90% sure Lional signs on this one... if I"m wrong tell me.
Lady, You Bring Me Up (In The Pocket)
Oh No (In The Pocket)

and I agree with BigJim...
It needs "Don't Wanna Lose You" (I have the CD single!) and "Time" as well as "Zoomin"

also, he should have his version of "Lady", the one he wrote for Kenny Rogers.

Just how many songs with the word Lady in it did he write anyway?

Probably not near as many as Def Leppard wrote that have "rock" or some form of "rock" in the title.
