How fast a PC do you need for Morrow wind?

I just upgraded my computer, so now I have a gforce 4 video card, 512 MB of DDR RAM, and an xp 2000+ chip. Is that enough speed to run elder scrolls 3 : morrowwind smoothly?

Morrowind should run great on your system.

One utility that I recommend for anybody playing Morrowind on PC is the Morrowind FPS Optimizer. This nifty little utility adjusts your view distance on the fly to maintain a steady FPS as you play. It works great.

An added benefit for higher-end machines is that you can take the view distance out beyond the maximum setting in the game, allowing for more lush and detailed environments.

Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree with what Groucho said. Oh, and thanks for that link, Groucho!

My system is relatively high-end (P4 1.5 Gigz on 384 MB of ram), but I'm usually online and running Kazaa when I play games, which adds a lot of strain on my system; especially with Morrowind. So that optimizer tool should be an excellent aid in keeping the game's performance up.

I have nearly this same system (GeForceTi 4600, XP2100+, 512MB RAM) and I run the game at 1600x1200 (no antialising, no anisotropic filtering) and it runs like a champ.
