Since Warner Brothers owns the worldwide rights to the original Friday the 13th, they're doing what Paramount wouldn't and putting out an SE DVD. There will be documentary / featurette on all the WB releases I believe (for which I contributed some memoribilia!)

So its now Paramount vs. New Line vs. Warner Brothers.
Hopefully NL or WB will take snatch the whole series from the hands of Paramount and give the most famous series of horror movies what it deserves.
chack out www.bbfc.co.uk, all the films were passed uncut in 2001/2002, so why did paramount still give us the R rated US versions?

DVDFile recently added this news to their website in regards to this release:
"And for our UK readers, or those Region-free enabled, more news on that overseas Friday the 13th special edition due this fall from Warner Home Video. In addition to the new documentary "Return to Crystal Lake," the DVD will also feature an audio commentary by director Sean Cunningham, stars Adrienne King and Betsy Palmer, composer Harry Manfredini and more. The disc will feature the international cut of the film (a few seconds bloodier than the R-rated domestic release) but as of presstime, will not be released in the U.S. by Paramount Home Entertainment. Perhaps someday Paramount will wake up and smell the bloody machete and give Mrs. Voorhees her due? Stay tuned..."
