Dumb and Dumberer 2 - a sequel, but not really

Saw a trailer about this during TTT, I think.

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0329028

So it's a prequel. But the Farrellys aren't helming it. Neither Jim Carrey or Jeff DANIELS is starring in it. I really have nothing else to say about this, other than "What the hell?"

I think a crappy sequel just makes the original look bad. (I'm looking at you too, Bring It On 2.) And maybe I'm just being pessimistic... but I think this is going to be a crappy sequel.

I thought the title of the movie was describing the studio execs for putting money up for this one

Isn't it a prequel?

Noted, in line three of my first post. Yes, I went back and forth with the terminology, but with a movie that I'm this pessimistic about, I'm having a hard time caring.

...starring Eric Christian Olsen from Not Another Teen Movie "fame" and somebody else.

It's really sad when that "somebody else" isn't Eric Christian Olsen.

Jeff Bridges wasn't in the first one either, so I'm not surprised by this.

Yeah, but John Goodman and Lauren Hutton aren't in this one either!

I think this movie will B-L-O-W.

I do not enjoy Eric whoever and don't think he looks like Jeff Daniels at all, and unless he's been studying D&D for years, I am willing to be he will use his usual over the top crass ******* routine, and it will be horrible....

also, the director Troy Miller has yet to really blow me away. He directed JACK FROST with Michael Keaton...wow, that movie was a turd. Although, all is not lost, because Troy also did do some work on Mr. Show for a few years...so there certainly is some hope...

but he also directed "run ronnie run" the mr. show movie...which New Line thought was so bad they don't plan on releasing... so, I don't have a huge amount of confidence in any of the creative team behind this prequel, so I'll be surprised if it doesn't suck balls... but i will probably see it anyway...

This is the most deceiving trailer/ad I've ever seen. Not only do they want you to think Jim Carrey is involved in the film (by not showing clips), they are running the preview right after "Bruce Almighty". Either way, this movie is going to bomb big time. And deservingly so.
