REMINDER: the Re-Runs are ending! the Re-Runs are ending!
Below is a list of some [at least the ones that I watch. YMMV]
• Sunday: the Simpsons, King Of the Hill, Alias*, the Practice
• Monday: Boston Public
• Tuesday : Buffy, 24, NYPD Blue -- Smallville's a repeat
• Thursday: ER
• Friday: John Doe
But most importantly, Farscape is back this Friday nite at 8pm est.
I urge everyone to check it out. I'm not sure exactly how the nets come about with their "overnight" figures**, but i'm hoping this does really good.
*[Originally, I started a specific reminder thread JUST about Alias and berating ABC's ridiculous promotion of this ep as Operation: Friend-In-Need. So those of you that saw it & can't find it anymore, you're not seeing things...]
**[If anyone DOES know how all this works, i'd appreciate the cliff note version of how it breaks down.]

On Sunday, virtually every single show on primetime is new, with the exception of "The King of Queens" on CBS, and "Futurama", as well as the first episode of "King of the Hill" on FOX. Furthermore, "High School Reunion" is premiering on the WB. Sadly, it's on during "Alias", and there's no way I'm missing "Alias", after waiting for a new episode for weeks. However, it does repeat on Thursday at 8, before the premiere of "The Surreal Life"
On Monday, "Everwood" returns. Yay. "Joe Millionaire" premeires. The normal CBS lineup is all new.
Full night of "Smallville" on Tuesday. No "Gilmore Girls". And again, all the networks are airing new episodes of their shows, except for FOX, which is running 1 new episode of "That 70's Show" and 1 repeat, followed by "24".
On Wednesday, two new episodes of "Birds of Prey" are airing, I suppose they just want to get rid of them as quickly as possible. "Star Search" premieres (sort of, it's not exactly new) on CBS, and another episode airs on Thursday. Again, networks are airing new episodes of their shows, except for FOX, which is showing the 1st Austin Powers movie.
On Thursday, "Friends", "Scrubs", "Will and Grace", and "CSI" are all new. yay. Oh, and there is a 2-hour "Best of" COPS special on FOX. Whatever.
Friday...whatever. All new, yeah, yeah. I'm only watching "Reba".
So there you have it. I just did your TV homework for the week. I'm fairly excited...pretty big week.

Now that I had HDTV capability, time-shifting via VCR has lost its luster. I want to see all of these shows in the best picture quality possible, but something is going lose out 3 nights out of the week when shows I watch are up against one another. *Sob*
I watched new episodes of Scrubs and Good Morning Miami and was really impressed with the quality of the HDTV broadcast (even if the shows weren't shot in HDTV) and noticed stuff I never saw before due to the clarity of the picture quality.
Once you go HDTV, it's hard to tolerate anything less!

Is it my imagination or do TV seasons get shorter every year.
I dont remember this many repeats growing up and thought seasons used to be at least 30 episodes long, now they are 22 or something.
Actors keep getting more money and we keep getting less of the new shows.

Good list, but "The Practice" turned out to be a rerun (I think from a prior season, so maybe it is "The Practice - Classic"). Also, it is a two-parter, so I assume next week is rerun too.
