Why? Oh, Why? Se7en sequel on the way...

Just heard on Good Day Live that there will be a sequel to Se7en. Morgan Freeman will be back, but Brad won't. Neither will Gwyneth.

Can't figure out why.

After that Oscar win, she has been going into far more dramatic fare, like Shallow Hal and the upcoming A View From the Top.

Oh lord, who could forget Bounce!

Spoiler:
i've seen seven

Now hang on, Gwyneth has had some pretty decent projects overall: Jefferson in Paris, Emma, A Perfect Murder, Shakespear in Love, Sliding Doors, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Royal Tenenbaums and Possession.

Jefferson in Paris - never heard of that

Emma was before SIL

I have already spoken of SIL when I talked about her Oscar

Sliding Doors - again before SIL

A Perfect Murder - get what you paid for...

The Talented Mr. Ripley - okay. that was good

The Royal Tenenbaums - she wasn't the greatest thing in the film

Possession - who saw that?

I was speaking of the horrible projects that I listed.

Did I say she was a bad actress?

And I said "overall" her resume has been pretty good. Listing the movies that I've seen where I thought she was good, and the one's where she got good reviews on as well.

Figures...new ending left it open.

I remember from the DVD that the original script called for the Morgan Freeman character to shoot the villain and answering something like "I'm Retiring" when the Brad Pitt character asked him why he did it.

I always that would have made for a better ending...but with the change of the Pitt character killing the villain it made Morgan go back on his retirement plans.

SROD Welcome to the forum, but watch the spoilers some people may have not seen Se7en.

And yes this is a horrible idea, I just don't get how they can continue the story.

Wait a minute... wasn't he retiring? Between his "Sommerset" character and Lethal Weapon's "Murtaugh", black cops never retire in Hollywood!

AICN had a rumor about this several months ago. It sounded horrible, and I was hoping it would turn out to be false. According to them, the sequel will have a supernatural slant to it.

If only they can get Guy Ritchie to direct, then this will be a guaranteed failure.

Don't forget Foley is still taking long vacations to Beverly Hills to do way out of district police work.
