What's best S-Video or V-Port Cable???

I don't know much about cables and I'm buying a new TV and the description says that it's recommended to either buy a S-video or a V-port cables for better picture and sound.

Which one is better?

Is it an RCA television?

I believe V-Port is an RCA-only connection that rivals component. It seems to be meant for the XBox. You can buy a cable that converts component to V-Port:

I think this sounds like a bad idea. I would avoid the television unless it comes with a separate component input.

But to answer your question V-Port seems to be the better connection.

the RCA V-port is just a component video + analog audio connection in a nice tidy package. so given the choice between it and s-video, go with the v-port

It's an RCA 32" TV.

I want to connect my DVD player using the v-port if possible.

any suggestions?

does it have a component video connection? If so, just use that. I'm pretty sure I've only seen a v-port cable for connecting an x-box
