Or... Best Buy has a 110 Price Guarantee (that I've used successfully). Take the ad with your receipt (if you lost the receipt take the CC and they print you a new one) and they refund the difference back to the CC or whatever you paid with. It's a 30 day guarantee.

Yes it is.

BTW - Is SSX Tricky as bad of a port for the Gamecube as the IGN makes it out to be?

I'm pretty sure that SSX Tricky is an improvement over SSX.

Well, at the very least, the cover art is prettier.

Problem I had was the controller. The PS2 does tricks by holding down the top 4 shoulder buttons. Its very tough to do with the GameCube controller. You have to hold down L, R, Y, and X. It can be done, but its a much easier game to play with the PS2 controller. Holding down L1, L2, R1, and R2 is pretty easy to do.

I forget all the things IGN said about the game but I thought it was great. I never played the PS2 version so I had no trouble adjusting to the Cube version's control setup.

They don't give rainchecks or pricematch. At least where I go to.

Geez. Might want to make sure your store is honoring this deal...it's "participating stores only." My wife drove out to the local store only to find out they weren't participating.

I went to Kay-Bee and bought SSX Tricky. I haven't opened it yet as I think I'm going to exchange it for the PS2 version. Problem is that most stores don't seem to carry it anymore!

Anyways, I was actually thinking about buying another copy and exchanging it at some other store for other titles. Like say...Animal Crossing. Or Rygar.

Is this wrong? Does it make me a bad person?

I'm not trying to be corny here or anything but please settle for the copy you have. This country's already living in the gutter because of people taking advantage. Just my 2 cents. I hope you enjoy the game. I'm hoping Best Buy or CC will price match for Castlevania and Pac-Man.

This won't work unless the store is selling those titles for $20 (the game's current price point).

If you are gonna try the PM route, then you have to make sure the stores actually carry these titles. When Toys-R-Us was having the exact same sale on Black Friday, I also tried to PM at Best Buy and CC. The problem is, neither one carried Circle of the Moon or Pac Man collection. I had to go to a nearby Walmart, which did have those two games, to make the price match & purchase. Just a little heads up for you.

Thanks...I picked up Sled Storm. It rang up as $19.99 and they had absolutely no clue about the sale. I showed them the ad and they manually adjusted the price to $9.99.

No, you're not being corny. I appreciate your honesty and agree with you. I wasn't really planning on doing it, it was just my bad sense of humour. I used to work in retail and witnessed the exploits of modern day 'customer is always right' system so I am sensitive to such things. You wouldn't believe the situations I've been in (ex. a woman returning a beat up doll with no head wanting her money back- and she got it!).

Anyways when I was at the KB no one appeared to be taking advantage of this deal. There were copies galore. has anyone been taking advatage of this deal. Castlevania: COTM for 10 dollars?! You can't go wrong.
